The apartments of our farmhouse are located near the gulf of Baratti and Populonia, in the peace of the Tuscan countryside, 10 minutes far from the sea.
Baratti
It is a suggestive gulf from which you can enjoy a splendid view. Visit the splendid pine forest on the sea, the beach bathed by a clean and transparent sea and, on the hill, the medieval castle of Populonia dating back to the fifteenth century.The inlet is characterized by a sandy coast with shallow waters while the beach is characterized by both golden and amber colors and by the presence of iron slag, residues from the processing of that metal during the Etruscan period.
Immediately behind the beach there is the necropolis where you can visit the Etruscan tombs to dive into what was the reality of the Etruscan time, and learn about the work that was done there.
The Gulf of Baratti is also an ideal place for those who love trekking or simple walks immersed in nature and offers many ideas for visiting the coast and its interior: the Buca delle Fate with its crystal clear waters is just one example.
