The apartments of our farmhouse are located near the gulf of Baratti and Populonia, in the peace of the Tuscan countryside, 10 minutes far from the sea.
Baratti
It is a suggestive gulf from which you can enjoy a splendid view. Visit the splendid pine forest on the sea, the beach bathed by a clean and transparent sea and, on the hill, the medieval castle of Populonia dating back to the fifteenth century.The cove is characterized by a sandy shoreline with shallow waters, while the beach is notable for its golden and amber colors, as well as the presence of iron slag, remnants of metalworking during the Etruscan period.
Just behind the beach lies the necropolis, where you can visit Etruscan tombs to immerse yourself in the reality of the Etruscan era and learn about the crafts that were practiced there.
The Gulf of Baratti is also an ideal place for those who love trekking or simple walks immersed in nature and offers many ideas for visiting the coast and its interior: the Buca delle Fate with its crystal clear waters is just one example.
