Campiglia Marittima

Campiglia Marittima is a small charming town on the Etruscan Coast, located on the top of a hill from which it dominates the sea and the surrounding countryside, offering pleasant panoramic views.

The town is an ancient medieval castle, which can still be accessed today through three historic gates inserted in the walls. At the highest point of the village is the Rocca di Campiglia, which dates back to the 10th century. The narrow streets that lead to the main square of the town and the small shops are the setting for the different events that are organized every year including Apriti Borgo, street theater festival and itinerant shows through the streets of the medieval village, which takes place in August - Farmhouse Campiglia Marittima.

The Nights of archeology

Extraordinary evening openings and events in museums, archaeological areas and parks. Guided tours, shows, trekking, educational workshops for children and adults, meetings and conferences will punctuate the whole region throughout July, rediscovering its artistic, artisan, production and food and wine traditions.

Apriti Borgo

Campiglia Marittima in the most evocative evenings of the summer, between the night of San Lorenzo and that of August, turns into a large open-air theater.

Medieval Dinner

The "Medieval Dinner" takes place in the enchanting setting of the Rocca di Campiglia, a banquet for over 100 diners with dishes of the time, therefore rigorously devoid of the ingredients introduced in the diet after the discovery of America. The tables are illuminated by the light of the torches and, around them, dancers and medieval music. Shows, visual experiences, food and wine tours, exhibitions and cultural activities will alternate to recreate in the ideal scenario
